Turkish and Middle Eastern restaurants in Lincoln

Lincoln does not have a long Turkish and Middle Eastern restaurant list. It has three current specialist options we could substantiate: a small Middle Eastern cafe on Burton Road, a Turkish takeaway on the High Street and a shawarma counter further south.

That short answer is more useful than padding the page with Indian restaurants, Greek food or generic kebab shops. The three places below do different jobs, and only one currently has a clean venue-to-company ownership match. Grillin ’N’ Chillin at 51 Burton Road is the strongest all-round answer. Its current menu described the business as a small family-run restaurant and carried chicken shawarma, lamb kofte, falafel, hummus, shakshuka and Iraqi tea. When checked, a chicken shawarma plate was £10.50, falafel was £9.50 and the meal deal was £15.50.

The company match is exact. Grillin N Chillin Ltd, company 15962719, is active and registered at 51 Burton Road. Its June 2025 Companies House filing records Abdulkadir Nadir Hamad as the current director and person with significant control, replacing the previous controller on the same date. That is enough to identify the legal operator. The directory has not converted that research into a verified badge, so the card remains unbadged for now.

Some dishes were individually marked halal on the ordering menu. That is not the same as a blanket certification for the whole kitchen, so check the item label or ask the venue if that matters to you.

Best for: sitting down rather than eating on the move, especially when a group wants both meat and vegetarian plates.

2. Topkapi Kitchen

Topkapi Kitchen is at 131 High Street, close to the city centre end of the lower High Street. Its own menu covers kebabs, wraps, burgers and pizza. That breadth makes it a practical mixed-order takeaway, though the menu is less focused than Grillin ’N’ Chillin’s.

We found historic company records connected with the address, but not a current match strong enough to publish as the owner of today’s restaurant. Topkapi therefore stays unbadged and its ownership is described as unresolved. That is deliberately less exciting than guessing.

Best for: a broad Turkish-style takeaway order when not everyone wants the same thing.

3. King Shawarma

King Shawarma is the quickest option, at 368 High Street. Its own ordering site led with shawarma wraps and advertised 10 percent off online ordering when checked. Promotions move quickly, so confirm the reduction in the basket rather than treating this page as a voucher.

We could not make a defensible current Companies House match from the public trading details. The directory page is therefore visible without a verified badge and makes no claim about whether the operator is independent, a group or something else.

Best for: a shawarma wrap to collect on the lower High Street.

Why the list stops at three

Search results for this category are noisy. Indian restaurants are often pulled into Middle Eastern searches, Greek restaurants appear because of shared dishes, and generic kebab shops get labelled Turkish without saying so themselves. This page only includes venues whose own current menu or ordering surface gives us a direct cuisine match.

That leaves a real gap in Lincoln: there is no long bench of specialist Turkish restaurants, Lebanese dining rooms or Persian kitchens to rank. Grillin ’N’ Chillin is the best fit for a sit-down meal. Topkapi and King Shawarma are takeaway-led alternatives.
