Highstreett for book recomendations

I just wanted to write a small blog on how i currently use Highstreett for book recommendations and why we're starting with books.

Why books? - i had been using a Claude project for recommendations and it worked decently it just wasn't very good at tracking what's owned but not read or reading. Over time it would lose track of where we were but despite this it was able to provide some interesting recommendations.

Then outside of this i enjoy reading so i am also looking forward to seeing what you lot get recommended and likely stealing some recommendations.

Is there a quality difference between logged in and not logged in? - Yes there is and it mainly comes from the ability to store more context via rating the books you've read and also holding more data.

The result of your recommendation does depending on your request and the books you help to give it. The more detailed/targeted the request the better the result will be.

In option A it is clearly looking for a gap and it knows what you've read within this scope (it however doesn't know if you liked them as you're not logged in) so here it can filter that the books are concentrated during EIC era missing out the Raj and mainly come from a British perspective.
